CompTIA Security+ is an international, vendor-neutral certification that validates the skills and knowledge of IT Security professionals working in the IT industry. The Security Plus certification confirms an IT Security professionals knowledge of communication security, infrastructure or network security, cryptography, operational security, and general security concepts. Although not required, it is recommended that CompTIA Security Plus students have at least two years on-the-job networking experience, with an emphasis on information security or achieved CompTIA A+ and Network+ training certifications.
